Dr. V Balasundaram

Dr V. Balasundaram, is a dedicated Radiation Oncologist with more than 25 years of experience in that field, with a commitment to provide cancer care with lot of passion and compassion.

He completed his undergraduate (MBBS Degree) from Thanjavur Medical college and MD Post graduate in Radiation Oncology from Madras Medical College. After this, he served as Senior Resident in the dept. of Oncology at JIPMER Pondicherry for three years, where he gained lot of experience in both External Radiation therapy techniques and brachytherapy procedures. He then moved to a Medical University at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as Clinical Oncology Specialist.

Back to India, he joined as Sr. Consultant Radiation Oncologist at VS Hospital, Chennai and continues to give cancer care in the same hospital close to two decades. He visits Rela Hospitals, Chrompet, Chennai and Dr Kamakshi Memorial Hospital, Chennai as well.

He is a Visiting Consultant at the Oculoplasty Dept, Sankara Nethralaya Eye Hospitals, Nungambakkam, Chennai close to 15 years

Presently, he serves as President of Association of Radiation Oncologists of India Tamil Nadu & Puducherry Chapter (Tenure 2023-2025) as well.
